A position exists for a pastor at Granite Community Church.
The church is situated in the Wimmera, of north western Victoria, 25km from Wycheproof, 24km from Charlton, 27km from Donald, and 30km from Birchip. We are a small country church surrounded by farms growing grain, sheep and cattle. The church congregation comprises of approximately 30 families, while the average attendance at the 11am service, which is held at the chruch, is approx 40 adults and children. A junior Sunday School is provided for children up to grade 6, along with a teenage youth program, commencing at 10am. At the same time an all-age Bible study and prayer meeting is held for adults. "Cafe Church" is an informal outreach program held in Donald on a Sunday evening (at 5pm) where up to 40 adults and children attend.
The Granite Community Church has held an evangelical non-charismatic, Bible-believing position for 127 years. It was an independent church, of Methodists until October 2007, when the Church became a member of the Baptist Union of Victoria.
Granite's purpose is to provide opportunities to worship God, study the infallible Word of God, demonstrate God's love, and to develop strong and mature disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The successful applicant will negotiate with the church leaders and will be for a minimum term of 2 years, with the proviso that if necessary either party could leave the agreement with three (3) months notice.

Oakden Baptist Church is seeking a "people person" to joing us as Senior Pastor. OBC encompasses all age and people groups, and desires to reach the growing community around it through a wide range of ministries including Cedar College, an R-12 school.
Our Senior Pastor will be passionate about prayer, dependent upon the Lord, actively seeking to grow spiritually - and challenging others to do the same. A proven ability to encourage and exhort through preaching God's Word is essential. Serving also as an Elder, the successful candidate will lead in shaping the future direction of OBC.
Significant pastoral experience with appropriate educational qualifications are crucial for this leader who will be an integral part of our church family. Salary will be based on education and experience with this full-time position commencing in early 2009.
